Both Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra will continue in their now iconic roles of Jai Dixit and Ali.

The film will begin shooting end of this year and is slated for a 2012 Christmas release.

Minissha Lamba is miffed with Sagar Ballary, the director of ‘Bheja Fry 2′ and her forthcoming ‘Hum Tum Aur Shabana’, who has been reportedly bad-mouthing her.
Shocked and hurt, Minissha feels it is Ballary’s attempt to publicise his films.
“I used to consider Ballary a friend. But if by maligning me he is trying to get publicity, then he’s hardly a friend,” she says.
Minissha also feels this is Ballary’s way of getting even with his ‘Bheja Fry 2′ producer Mukul Deora, with whom Ballary was apparently at loggerheads during the shoot.
Ballary has accused Minissha of shooting a promotional video for ‘Bheja Fry 2′ behind his back.
Minissha retaliates: “I think I got caught in the cross-fire between Ballary and the producer of ‘Bheja Fry 2′. Since he couldn’t hurt the producer in any way, he has chosen to make me a scapegoat.”
“If the producer asked me to do a video I’d naturally do it. Why was Ballary opposed to it? It’s so sad I’ve done two films with him. I play the title role in ‘Hum Tum Aur Shabana’. So how can he threaten to chop off my role?” Minissha asks.
Minissha believes Ballary should have been “more responsible” with his words.
Minissha replies, “I worked in two of his films. I did ‘Bheja Fry 2′ although I had a small role. I did it for Sagar Ballary. And this is what he does!”
“I can understand him wanting publicity for his film. But at my cost? Not by destroying my reputation,” she insists.
“If Sagar Ballary had a problem with me, he could’ve told me personally about it. It takes years to build a friendship. It takes just a few careless remarks to ruin it,” Minissha says.
After Ballary’s outburst, Minissha has not bothered to get in touch with him. “What is there to ask him? Does he feel negative publicity would help the film? I’ve spoken to the producer and he’s pretty upset.”
Minissha is equally aghast at reports suggesting her rivalry with Pia Trivedi during the making of ‘Hum Tum Aur Shabana’.
“Pia is a lovely girl and she has a wonderful role in ‘Hum Tum Aur Shabana’. I had absolutely no problems with her during the film,” the actor clarifies.
“I am playing the title role, so why should I get insecure? I’ve worked in a film like ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ which had Bipasha Basu and Deepika Padukone. So what’s there to be insecure about?” retorts Minissha.

The most controversial film of the year, ‘Not a Love Story’ is set to hit theatres this August. Mahie Gill, who plays the lead, was at the Dainik Bhaskar office to promote the film. Based on one of the most widely reported murder cases of today, the film is directed by Ram Gopal Varma.In a bid to make the film more authentic, the film was shot in the same building where Neeraj Grover was killed. “Seeing the building where the murder took place was quite scary. We’d shot in flat number 1501 and the incident took place in 201. Each time we used to take the lift, there was a strange sense of awkwardness.”

Mahie, who is playing Maria Susairaj, says that it’s purely because of the director that she’s taken up the role. “I’d have even played Neeraj Grover or Jerome, had sir asked me to do that.”
Sharing about her experience on working with Ramu, the actress said, “He never shouts or screams on the sets. If there’s anything to be explained, he’d simply come up and tell you what’s expected out of you. He’s too shy.”

After grooving to the saucy ‘Sheila ki jawaani’, Katrina Kaif will be seen in a 1970s rockstar avatar in the song ‘Dhunki’ from ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.Kat, dressed casually in a pair of shorts, a white t-shirt and a bright orange inner, holds a guitar in the song, and looks like a complete rockstar.

The 27-year-old shot for the song at Agra Fort, and a crowd of over 1,000 gathered in no time, according to a source from the sets of the movie, which is being made under the Yash Raj Films banner.
The filmmakers were lucky to get authentic shots of the crowd. But it was quite a pain to get Katrina out of there.
A team of policemen was called to escort the actress out, and she was taken away in a police van.
‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ also stars Imran Khan and Ali Zafar. The movie releases September 9, 2011.

It seems the saga of Sonakshi Sinha’s proposed Tamil project ‘Vishwaroopam’ with Kamal Haasan is far from over. Though the delay in the project has forced the actress out, the indefatigable maestro of makeovers has his heart and mind set on her.

Feelers after feelers are apparently being sent to Sonakshi and her father Shatrughan Sinha.

“Now that Kamal Haasan has taken over the direction of the project it is more important than ever that he get his first choice for the leading lady, and that’s Sonakshi. The role was written with her in mind,” said a source.

But despite the legendary actor’s persistence, Sonakshi is unable to accommodate the project.

“Sonakshi has allotted her dates to Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Prabhu Deva for ‘Rowdy Rathore’. This will go on through August. Then in September she does another schedule of Shrish Kunder’s ‘Joker’. ‘Vishwaroopam’ was supposed to start rolling in May-June. It’s sill not taken off. There is no way she can accommodate Kamalji,” said a source close to Sonakshi.

Apparently Sonakshi, who became a rage after her debut in superhit movie ‘Dabangg’, has been wondering why her presence in the film is so important.

“It’s a wonderful role and it suits Sonakshi. Kamal Haasan wants ‘Vishwaroopam’ to compete at the box office with Rajnikanth’s ‘Rana’,” said the source.

In the two lavish projects set in two continents, the two Tamil superstars share screen space with the two Bollywood beauties Deepika Padukone and Sonakshi.

Interestingly both ‘Rana’ and ‘Vishwaroopam’ got delayed due to various reasons and are now expected to start and be completed at about the same time.

Two L'Oreal cosmetics adverts featuring actress Julia Roberts and supermodel Christy Turlington were banned in Britain by the Advertising Standards Agency on Wednesday, following complaints by MP Jo Swinson.

Liberal Democrat MP Swinson said the magazine adverts for foundations made by Maybelline and Lancome, both owned by L'Oreal, were misleading because the photos had been digitally altered.

The ASA upheld her claim and banned the adverts for Maybelline's "The Eraser" foundation featuring Turlington and Lancome's "Teint Miracle" starring the brand's ambassador Roberts, saying there was not enough evidence to show the retouched images accurately reflected what the products could achieve.

"Excessive airbrushing and digital manipulation techniques have become the norm, but both Christy Turlington and Julia Roberts are naturally beautiful women who don't need retouching to look great," said Swinson.

Lancome defended the image of Roberts as an "aspirational picture" of what the product could do and said her luminous complexion in the advert was down to her natural beauty and lighting used by the photographer Mario Testino. It said changes made by digital enhancement were not "directly relevant" to what the product was meant to achieve.

Maybelline said they believed the advert accurately portrayed what The Eraser could achieve despite airbrushing and pointed out that crows' feet and other lines were still visible in the retouched image.

L'Oreal has faced similar complaints in the past and had to add a disclaimer to adverts for their Telescopic mascara featuring actress Penelope Cruz, saying that she was wearing false eyelashes after the ASA ruled the adverts exaggerated the effect the mascara could have on lash length.

The ASA received complaints last year that British singer Cheryl Cole was wearing hair extensions in adverts for L'Oreal's Elvive shampoo, but said the campaign was not misleading for consumers, who would understand Cole had been professionally styled.

Lancome and Maybelline expressed disappointment that the adverts had been banned in statements on Wednesday.

Both companies said scientific tests proved the effectiveness of their products and cited consumer surveys that showed a majority of women found the foundations achieved the desired results

Earlier, some working stills from the film featuring Shah Rukh Khan in long locks and a rough look were leaked on the internet. Later, Farhan Akhtartweeted that the first theatrical trailer of the movie and its theatrical poster would be released along with his home production, Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara on 15 July. Initially, a promo launch event was planned on 13 July in Mumbai, though it was cancelled later and the promo was released on the internet.

International version

Apparently, an international version for Don 2 is to be released as well. This version will have no songs and trimmed drama.

Rights

Reliance Big Pictures has bought the rights of Don 2 from Excel Entertainment for reportedly Rs. 125 crore. The price has yet to be confirmed. It is thought that Reliance Big Pictures bought the rights for Don 2 along with other upcoming films from Excel Entertainment in a multi-film deal

Drunken brawls are skyrocketing among today’s youth. And bucking the national average are our Bollywood celebrities.

The latest addition on the ever-increasing list is Amisha Patel’s younger brother, Ashmit. On the wee hours of Saturday, 2.15 am to be precise, Ashmit Patel beat up an unsuspecting fellow guest, Vicky at a Lower Parel nightspot. Vicky, who was caught unaware by Patel happens to be Imran Khan’s close friend and makeup man.

Vicky was immediately rushed to at least four hospitals before he finally got medical assistance in a hospital in Borivali. A diagnosis revealed a fractured nose, apart from other superficial cuts and bruises.

Ashmit Patel who has little to his name apart from a few box office duds, a colourful reality TV stint with Pakistani actress Veena Malik picked up a fight with Vicky at the club. Vicky had come to the club along with his girlfriend Pooja, who is assisting Kabir Khan in YRF’s forthcoming Salman Khan - Katrina Kaif starrer.

The fight began when Vicky went to the bar to fetch a drink. Patel tried to instigate Vicky and his friend Amin. When they refused to get provoked, Patel pushed Vicky . “Vicky does not know Ashmit, neither professionally nor at a personal level,” said a source.

When Vicky turned back and questioned Patel’s actions, instead of apologising, the actor started bashing him up. Soon, 12-15 of Patel’s friends joined the fight. On finding out that her boyfriend was being brutally beaten up Pooja raised the alarm.

The bouncers got into action by then. “But it was too late. Pooja was horrified seeing Vicky bleeding the way he was,” an eyewitness told Mumbai Mirror. Patel and his gang even threatened Vicky with dire consequences. Scared and also scarred by the events that night, Vicky and Pooja chose not to file a police complaint.

Added the witness, “Ashmit was in a very aggressive mood. He was trying to bully people in the nightclub. He just wanted violence.”

A source very close to Vicky says, “Vicky lost at least three-four litre of blood. His journey from Parel to Borivali made him extremely groggy. Pooja stayed with Vicky, until he was finally operated in a hospital in Borivali.”

When contacted, both Vicky, who is now recovering and Pooja confirmed the story. Kabir Khan, the director of Ek Tha Tiger the YRF project Pooja is working on, said, “I saw Pooja traumatised on Saturday. She told me about her boyfriend being beaten up. Such acts of violence are unpardonable and should be condemned in any civilized society.”

Imran Khan’s official spokesperson, on being informed about the incident, said, “What happened is extremely unfortunate. Imran is not in town. And he doesn’t know about this. But if he were here, he would have been very upset. Vicky is very close to him. Imran and Vicky have been working together since Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na. They are also extremely close friends.”

Ashmit chose not to reply to repeated calls. His manager Pratik when contacted, said even he couldn’t reach the actor

Singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead at her house in north London She was 27. The award-winning artist, famous for hits including Rehab from the critically acclaimed album Back to Black, was discovered by police in the late afternoon. Her death was being treated on Saturday night as "unexplained" but sources said she had died of a drugs overdose.

The Metropolitan police said: "We were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square shortly before 16.05hrs following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene."

Winehouse was last seen with her goddaughter, Dionne Bromfield, earlier last week when the teenager performed at the iTunes festival.

Tributes began to pour in to one of the most celebrated and troubled British artists of recent times. Mark Ronson, who produced Back to Black, said: "She was my musical soulmate and like a sister to me. This is one of the saddest days of my life."

Singer and actress Kelly Osbourne wrote: "i cant even breath right now, im crying so hard i just lost 1 of my best friends. i love you forever Amy & will never forget the real you!"

Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood dedicated his show on Absolute Radio and the reunion performance by his former group the Faces in Hurtwood, Surrey, to Winehouse. "It's a very sad loss of a very good friend I spent many great times with," he said.

Two regulars at Winehouse's local pub, The Hawley Arms in Camden, paid tribute. "Some people might think it shows disrespect to come out drinking tonight but she was such a part of Camden she made it her home and she always got involved," said Mary Gallagher. Drapes, ruffles and heavy embroidery dominated the collection, which was a mix of gowns, saris, suits and fish-cut lehangas, all with a seemingly fairy tale-like vibe.

"For me, this is what the haute couture is. I took almost five months to make the entire line and it is my interpretation and this is what we need to take forward," Manav said after the show.

In sync with the theme of his collection, Manav chose clocks as the backdrop and one could hear them ticking through the show.

The front row of Manav's show was packed with Bollywood celebs. Rahul Khanna, Raveena Tandon with hubby Anil Thadani, Soha Ali Khan, Dino Morea, Sophie Choudry, Zayed Khan, and Fardeen Khan were all there.

Although the Bollywood crew had to squeeze in to fit into the front row, all of them seemed excited and cheered enthusiastically for the designer.

While Raveena chose to wear a white sari, Soha and Sophie were seen wearing similar saris with a blend of yellow and white.

Model-turned actress Aarti Chhabria has won the fourth season of “Fear Factor-Khatron Ke Khiladi” after weeks of gruelling tasks involving underwater stunts, fighting off creepy crawlies and jumping off dangerous heights.

Aarti and her partner Dhaval Thakur succeeded over singer Mauli Dave and Dhiraj, after facing two risky stunts on the grand finale, aired on Colors on Saturday. Model Diandra Soares and her partner Arhan were the other finalists, but lost the first stunt.
Aarti made her debut in Bollywood with “Tumse Achcha Kaun Hai” (2002) and later featured in films like “Awara Paagal Deewana” and “Shootout At Lokhandwala” amongst others.

The 28-year-old not only walked away with the title of being the ‘Khiladi’, but has also been chosen as the ‘Thums Up Thunder Star’, where she will get an opportunity to feature with Akshay in the new campaign. Her partner Dhaval won a Scorpio car.

The finale involved a stunt where the male contestant had to drive the car and the female contestant was controlling the vehicle’s momentum.

In the second stunt, the female contestant was tied up in a bus which was set on fire and the male contestant had to unlock her and set her free. He also had to reach for the ‘Thums Up’ bottle which was tied up at three feet above the ground and whichever team did it fast, won the show.

The show, hosted by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar and shot in South Africa, started with 13 female celebrities. Models like Diandra, Alesia Raut and Poonam Pandey, actresses Aarti, Smita Bansal and Aashka Goradia, item girls Sambhavna Seth and Kashmera Shah, two VJs – Bani and Mia Uyeda, singer Mauli Dave and Dina Singh who is actor Vindu Dara Singh’s wife and Anjum Chopra, the former captain of the Indian women’s cricket team, were a part of this season.

"If I am using 20 vials of botox a month here, my Hollywood contemporaries use 500-1,000 vials per month," she adds.

So the popular belief is — thin is in, large breasts look good and more hair is better. "There is an overriding desperation to remain in the reckoning. Bollywood is obsessed with youth unlike Hollywood, and we have terrible notions about how young and nubile a heroine must look and how strong and handsome a hero must look. I wonder in the present scenario, what slot talent tornadoes Meena Kumari and Sanjeev Kumar would find?" wonders Rauf Ahmed, a senior film journalist.

So, in a profession mostly dependent on your good looks, the cosmetic fix-its appear to be a godsend. "It is a personal choice – just like your wardrobe – you can choose what to do with your face. But remember, it takes courage to undergo ‘the procedure’. I wouldn’t go for it, but each to his own," remarks Bhavna Somaiya, veteran film chronicler, who has penned several books on Bollywood stars, including the latest A to Z of Amitabh.

Sources (on condition of anonymity) reveal that Salman Khan’s Dubai visit replenished his bald spot with a thick mop of hair (indeed, with a hair transplant) and added to his perennial youthfulness at 47, earning him the top billing as a star as well as "best cosmetically enhanced Bollywood star". Katrina Kaif, reveal sources, too, has arrived on the surgical world by having her form sculpted to a desirable perfection. The dapper and elegant Amitabh Bachchan may not be able to use botox, as it is dangerous for him because he is a patient of myesthenia gravis, but "the sharp jaw line and his rejuvenated looks must have been acquired through some expert handiwork" is what the plastic surgeons fraternity guesses.

The talented Tabu adores liposuction while Priyanka Chopra (nose and lip), Preity Zinta (deepened dimple and face glow), Shruti Hasan (sawing off the aquiline sharpness of her nose) have resorted to aesthetic surgeries. Though in vehement denial mode, but Kangna has certainly got a lip augmentation done – for that new saucy pout. While Aamir Khan, too, had opted for botox shots for his young avatar in 3 Idiots, he used it professionally and judiciously. Aamir is back with his wrinkles now, looking his age. And that is how this age-defying injection should ideally be used.

The frozen expressions are a result of "overdose" and not merely the "use" of botox. "Botox makes certain facial muscles less responsive, thereby smoothing out the lines and wrinkles. The effect of the shots must wear out and only then can a fresh shot be given. But in the fear of getting wrinkled, patients often opt for frequent shots, often not respecting the time-gap between two shots, which render the lazy muscle lazier and that eventually ends up in that frozen look," elaborates plastic surgeon Dr Varun Dixit.

So is the greed of the users proving to be their undoing? "Greed on the part of both the demander as well as the supplier, is to be blamed for this," replies Dr Dixit, who has voluntarily opted out of botox practice as he doesn’t wish to dilute his surgical focus.

Rauf Ahmed harks back to the genealogy of cosmetic procedures in Bollywood, "The first cosmetic beauty enhancement was Sadhana’s fringes that covered up her forehead. But the first plastic job in Bollywood was Sridevi’s nose," he recalls. There were always rumours about Dev Anand’s facelifts to enhance his evergreen status. However, it was Shilpa Shetty, who really brought plastic surgery out of the closet by admitting publicly to "a nose job". Then came Sushmita Sen’s silicone breast implants like those of Pamela Anderson. Sushmita, too, was forthcoming about her assets. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, like most Miss Indias, admits only to, " got my enamel bleached" but the grapevine has it that she’s got her cheek implants and her jaw and teeth re-contoured.

Bhavna Somaiya argues that most stars of her generation have aged gracefully — Zeenat Aman, Sarika, Dimple and Hema Malini. Rauf Ahmed relates an interesting observation made by Waheeda Rehman. "She rued that by the time you mature as an actress, it is time to get out and be replaced by nymphets prancing around in the rain."

In an industry where careers are short-lived yet highly rewarding, it is but natural that film folks should resort to cosmetic fix-its to prolong their screen tenure. But the likes of Julianne Moore, 50-year-old Hollywood star famous for her radiant skin and youthful looks, ruled out cosmetic intervention and she attributed it to "ashthanga yoga three times a week" and " run a couple of times a week". As Dr Dixit concludes, "Improving lifestyle will take you a long way – balanced diet, regular exercise, adequate rest and a good night’s sleep need to be followed. Otherwise, life in the fast lane is bound to take its toll!"

Vivek Shauq, a character actor and comedian, died following a heart attack after liposuction operation at the age of 47 on January 10, 2011.

Shauq shot to fame as Jaspal Bhatti’s brother-in-law in Flop Show and later became popular in films like Gadar-Ek Prem Katha, Aitraaz and 36 China Town. After undergoing a liposuction operation in Thane, Shauq’s condition turned critical.

e suffered a heart attack. He was later put on life-support system but slipped into coma and could not be revived. Shauq died of septicemia. Reportedly, Shauq did not reveal that he was a cardiac patient.

So, plastic surgeon Dr Varun Dixit warns, "Please do not take plastic procedures lightly, weigh the pros and cons cautiously and meticulously. Keep your doctor informed about your health status."

I watched ZNMD yesterday. I quite liked it. It dragged a bit but the movie worked because of the chemistry between the guys. Katrina Kaif was a revelation. I frankly liked her in the movie and also her pairing with Hrithik. I wanted some more romance between Hrithik and Katrina because my favorite scenes in the movie were when the 2 were togethger.

Everyone in the movie acted their part well. Worth a watch. What about you guys?

As per Box Office India, ZNMD is going strong at the box office.

Zindagi Na Milegi is set for a a very good Monday and a strong run at the box office. The early collections for Monday suggest a healthy total of at least 5 crore with good chances of it being more.

Multiplexes across the country have seen very good occupancies and the film has very good appreciation amongst its target audience which is the urban youth.

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara will record the second best Monday of the year after Ready and a near 45 crore nett first week is looking on the cards for the film if weekdays continue to sustain at this rate

These potent words from Javed Akhtar in daughter Zoya Akhtar’s second film voiced by sonFarhan Akhtar‘s character of a closet poet brings the curtains down on Zindagi Na milegi Dobara. The title of the film comes from a line in the title song of Rock On!! also written by Javed Akhtar. But interestingly ‘milegi na’ there has been changed to “Na Milegi” here.

After spending two and a half hours with Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), Imran (Farhan Akhtar) and Kabir (Abhay Deol), you may understand the lines a little better and may even have your own little theory as to why those two words were swapped in the phrase. Our theory? Rock On!! was bursting with pain and anger this one’s wrapped in love. On the surface, zindagi na milegi dobara is about a bachelor holiday of three men, where each one of them has a daredevil task planned that all of them have to do. But beyond all the fun and games it’s a beautifully scripted (Zoya and Reema Kagti) journey of catharis for this trio, who are all battling some episode from their past.

Some long past, some a little recent. When you first meet Arjun, Imran and Kabir, you may find it a tad disconcerting why these 20-year-olds (college was 10 years back, someone muttered at some point) are behaving like the boys from Dil Chahta Hai. But once they are on the roads in Spain, you will start realizing these guys have actually grown up together right from their school days. And don’t we all drop our guards and turn back our clocks shamelessly or shamefully!!! with our friends from school?

Arjun was resisting it initially. He had become A Good Year’s Russell Crowe, too busy making money to dive wholeheartedly into an adventure sports trip with childhood buddies. He even has a line ditto Max Skinner: “dont say I’m on holiday!” But then what do you do when Katrina Kaif wants to hold your hand and show you the true meaning of life? She is Laila, the deep sea diving instructor who is ZNMD’s first horcrux (magic object in the world of Harry Potter, silly). The other two are Imran’s

father (Naseeruddin Shah) and Kabir’s fiancee (Kalki Koelchin). How they all add up to the soul of the film, you have to discover for your self. a Dumbledorean clue? The stunt chosen by one becomes nirvana for the other. Zoya, who made that brilliant and underseen – first film in Luck by Chance has this amazing kanack of making her actors mouth music in every line. You dont just
remember the dialogues, you remember their cadence. Also, she is fearless in the way she shoots and doesn’t hide behind over coated background scores. And that’s why most of the time she is able to latch on to a previous and raw cinematic moment. Like the drunken Doordarshan scene at the bar.

ZNMD is perhaps 15 minutes overlong, especially towards the end when the Abhay-Kalki track becomes a bit clumsy. And it also lacks the energy of Dil Chahta Hai. Perhaps it is Spain that dictates the laidback pace of the film. zoya can argue otherwise but she must have chosen the European nation because her cinematographer Carlos Calatan hails from there. He captures the cities of Barcelona, Girona, Bunol, Seville and Pamplona with so much heart, the images just take your heart away.

The film’s dialogues have been written by Farhan and he’s kept the best lines for himself!! For someone who 10 years back hand wirtten some of the funniest lines on the Bollywood screen for other actors to write crisp one liners for himself, completes a cycle in itself. Hrithik is effective as the stuck up finance broker who is completely transformed in the later half of the film. Perhaps we should stop looking for Red Bulled screen tearing performance from him every time and just enjoy his light turns. Abhay is effortlessly good as the pacifier, the man in the middle, well aware of his own life being parked on the wrong side of the road. Katrina starts out like an appraition in the film and then develops this electric chemistry with Hrithik. When those two beautiful people first share an oxygen mask and then do a ballet of sorts under water, its pure magic. Just like their kiss a few reels later.

Overall, its a good Bollywood movie teaching the essence of ‘Be alive each moment’ to its audience.

A husband can wait, says Priyanka

t has been a hectic year for actor Priyanka Chopra who has constantly been shuttling between different continents, trying to match time zones and catch up with her family. After so much work, she took off on a well-deserved break to the US, presumably her favourite destination to party. While she also coupled her holiday with a few work assignments, she got her parents down to the US as well. In between she also managed to squeeze time out to be a part of kid brother Siddharth's graduation ceremony in Switzerland.

Talking about her trip she says, "It was a combination of things coupled with a quick break. I was with family and friends in different parts of the trip."

While her birthday celebrations began much in advance when she was in Los Angeles, she is looking forward to spending some more quality time with her family on her birthday tomorrow. While she would like someone to throw a bash for her, she is sure that her family will be a part of all her plans. "I am definitely spending the day with family and friends, whether it's a big bash or a quiet dinner. I hate organising parties because then I want everything to be perfect and that takes too much time and effort (laughs). So I prefer someone else throwing the party for me! This year I'm also most likely to be working," says Priyanka.

She was also pampered by mommy dearest when the duo indulged in some

retail therapy while on their holiday. "I absolutely love receiving and giving gifts. I especially adore the ones that are well thought out, keeping my likes in mind. My mum kicked off the gifting season with some surprise pre-birthday gifts when we were in LA and I'm looking forward to getting lots more." So what is she going to indulge in? "I don't really gift myself anything on my birthday. I prefer receiving gifts from everyone else!"

So what is on her wish-list of things for the year to come — great films, lots of good wishes or a handsome husband? She is quick to respond, "Can I be greedy and ask for it all? Maybe with the exception of the husband, which I'd like to defer for a few years more!"

The news last Fall that The Amazing Spider-Man would be setting up camp in Los Angeles for their six-month shoot was a bit of a letdown -- Peter Parker's from Queens, New York! He should be in New York! Sam Raimi shot in New York! Come back to New York!

Don't get us wrong, we love L.A, but seeing our hometown hero websling his way to the other side of the country...that was hard.

Thankfully, there's a silver lining: for the next few weeks, director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), the new Spider-Man Andrew Garfield and his blonde bombshell gal pal Gwen Stacey, played by the colorful Emma Stone, will high-tail it out of Hollywood to hit the streets of New York City. Apparently, there are a few things you can't fake on a backlot and the Spidey crew is coming to the Big Apple to pick up the shots.

This weekend was the beginning of that short stint and, already, new tidbits of info have leaked out that could provide insight into the movie's secretive storyline. The production filmed exterior shots outside New York's unique Hearst Tower, which, with a few alterations, took the place of Norman Osborn's Oscorp (photo courtesy of Comingsoon.net, check out more on their site)

While details have been scarce, casting news and production leaks have revealed that The Amazing Spider-Manwould follow Parker through his high school years and see him crossing paths with Dr. Curt Connors (a.k.a. The Lizard) and an unfamiliar character named Nels Van Adder. How do these two tie into this weekend's shoot? Fans of the first trilogy recall Willem Dafoe's millionaire businessman character Normal Osborn, who through chemical testing became the psychopathic Green Goblin. His son Harry inherited the company and, later, sought revenge against Peter for killing his father.

There's been no word on the casting of Norman Osborn, meaning the likelihood of seeing Osborn/Green Goblin pop up in this film is scarce. The inclusion of the familiar company certainly plants the seeds for a possible return by the devilish villain, but it's more probable that Curt Connors needed a place of employment and Oscorp was the perfect nod to comic mythology. Or both?

Just Jared also caught a few photos of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield, who was sporting Peter Parker's particularly large specs. No wire work or fight choreography here -- just a simple day of walking in the front door of a major corporation. But hey, acting is acting.

Knowing that The Amazing Spider-Man will be entirely in the can by the end of the month gives us another reason to be exited: San Diego Comic-Con. If Captain America could show footage eight days into their production schedule, there's reason to expect that the team behind the new Spider-Man will be out in full force come this July, with our first look at footage from the reboot. They have something to prove, especially with Sam Raimi's original trilogy still lingering in our memories, and there's no better place to do it than Comic-Con.

The streets of New York are always brimming with pedestrians -- so expect even more set photos to pop up in the near future!

Rohan Sippy’s Dum Maaro Dum is a slick action-crime thriller, that revolves around six Indians who meet in Goa and how their lives change forever, once they find themselves caught up with the drug menace.
ACP Vishnu Kamath (Abhishek Bachchan) is assigned by the Chief Minister of Goa to exterminate the drug mafia, which was spreading like a plague. Mercy (Muzammil S. Qureshi) and Rane (Govind Namdeo), his two assistants, assist him in carrying out his assignments of catching Lorsa Biscuita aka Biscuit (Aditya Pancholi), who is the main drug dealer in that area.
Laurie (Prateik Babbar) is a young simpleton, who falls prey into the drug web, after getting caught red handed, smuggling cocaine from the country. Joki (Rana Daggubati), Laurie’s well wisher, pleads of Laurie’s innocence to the ACP, trying to make him realize that Laurie was a mere pawn.
Zoe (Bipasha Basu), Joki’s chick, was caught in the same drug web five years ago, that Laurie was in now. It was Biscuita who came to her rescue by using his influence to get her out. But, in return, he made Zoe his girlfriend despite being married. Hence, Joki’s concern for Laurie.
The story further unfurls itself with the ACP realizing that the drug racket was actually not carried out by Biscuita but by an invisible man named Michael Barbusa, who uses various aliases to operate from different cities.
The story comes to its climax with ACP completing the given task of busting the drug racket along with Joki and Laurie.
The narration and the dialogues, make the flick worth watching. The director did a splendid job by keeping the suspense alive till the end. The unexpected twists thrown in the end worked wonders for the production. While the first half showed some movement in the theater, the second made sure the audiences were glued to their seats.
Abhishek Bachchan did an amazing job as a tough cop. The only thing that played against his cop stature was his pot belly and double chin.
Rana Daggubati was dull initially, but played the climax spectacularly. Prateik Babbar portrayed his innocence, brilliantly.
Bipasha Basu was naturally good.
Pritam Chakraborty did an awesome job on the music, Amit Roy’s cinematography was appealing, Aarif Shaik’s editing is the biggest plus point. Deepika Padukone’s raunchy item number adds glamour to the entire movie.
Final word: An adrenaline pumped thriller, not best suited for the romantic ones.
